How Whitey Got His Groove Back: Donald, Nigel And Saint Mel Set The Bar High

In an age of widespread political correctness, being white is looked at as a curse. It is now widely-acceptable for every member of a designated “victim group” ie LGBT, African-American, Latino, etc. to use blatant hateful rhetoric against whites. While if a white individual has simple pride for their heritage, they are treated like a full-fledged Klan member. This double-standard has been arrogantly waved in our faces as the inevitable future that cannot be changed due to inescapable demographic changes. But not so fast. These victim groups may have overplayed their hand during the Obama era. Whitey could not go… Keep Reading

Election Results Show Third Parties Are a Dead End For Liberty Activists

While the world spins off of its axis in lieu of a Trump victory, some libertarians are celebrating a different kind of victory. The Libertarian Party had its best showing ever with the Gary Johnson and Bill Weld ticket. As of Nov. 10, they had racked up 4,083,280 accounting for 3.23 percent of the vote. This smashed any previous vote totals several times over. These results have fostered some optimism, but fell way short of the lofty expectations that were floated at the nominating conference. Libertarians believed that with two experienced governors that they could really capitalize on historically unpopular… Keep Reading

The Libertarian Republic Covers For Hillary Clinton, Downplays FBI Probe

As news that the FBI is re-investigating Hillary Clinton broke yesterday, most conservatives and liberty-minded folks were jubilated by the news. However, one entity in the liberty blogosphere did not share that same reaction. The Libertarian Republic, a liberty-oriented news and opinion website, responded to the breaking news in a peculiar and contradictory manner. After initially reporting the story as it was, a very specious clarification article was produced that seemingly took the onus off of Hillary and her e-mails, painting the picture that Comey’s letter was much ado about nothing. The original article was written with the title of… Keep Reading

Vindicated At Last: Conspiracy Theorists Ride High In The Age Of WikiLeaks

The smell of sweet vindication is in the air these days, at least if you are a conspiracy theorist. Wikileaks has made it so that the truth can no longer be denied that half of the entire political system is quite literally a criminal operation from top-to-bottom. Of course, as little Marco Rubio knows, more devastating disclosures are on the way. The Republican Party, as a whole, is at least as criminal as the Democrats. Any liberty Republican who has been in the fight knows that to be the case. Because the great Julian Assange is an equal-opportunity brutalizer of… Keep Reading

Regardless Of The Outcome, Political Carnage Is Guaranteed After The Election

We are only a few weeks away from the election. Although everyone and their mother say (as always) that this is the most important election of our lifetime, I’m not all that concerned about the outcome. Although Trump would likely be much less horrific President than Hillary, federal-level politics are screwed regardless of the outcome of this preposterous little popularity contest. All I care about is the show, and that the spectacle from the circus is causing serious damage to the political system at large. During this particular cycle, I have not been disappointed. “The Donald” has kicked the madness… Keep Reading

‘An-Nalle-iliated’: Turncoat Vice Chair Dumped By Liberty Caucus

The liberty caucus has effectively taken out the trash. This past weekend, the Republican Liberty Caucus removed their Vice Chair, Dave Nalle, from his position by an overwhelming 7-2 vote. He had been working to bleed the liberty caucus of its resources in a desperate attempt to prop up Gary Johnson’s fledgling campaign. Nalle has been a fixture in the liberty caucus for many years but was admonished for his role as the head of a “Republicans for Gary Johnson” group. Through this operation, he was working as a clandestine operative within the Republican Party on behalf of another political… Keep Reading

#TakeCTRL Campaign Encourages Libertarians To Work Locally Against Illegal Surveillance

Despite the fact that Snowden did not necessarily receive a great reception from the box office, that hasn’t stopped clever activists from capitalizing on the hoopla from the epic film. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has spearheaded a coalition to honor Snowden’s heroic sacrifice to work locally to stifle Big Brother. The Tenth Amendment Center released a report about the #TakeCTRL campaign against the surveillance state that went live today: “As part of the Community Control Over Police Surveillance (CCOPS) initiative, today local government officials in 11 cities announced plans to launch legislative efforts to pass ordinances that will take… Keep Reading

A Plea To The Alternate Right From The Ron Paul Revolution: Don’t Repeat Our Mistakes

In the wake of Trumpmania, the political system is as chaotic and insane as it has ever been. If we were watching these events unfold in a Hollywood movie, we would probably say they were too fanciful and absurd to be taken seriously. Nevertheless, it is the reality that is staring us in the face. One of the most peculiar and eye-raising developments of this ridiculous campaign season has been Hillary Clinton’s speech demonizing the alternative right. In Hillary’s speech – which was a more deranged, in-depth rehashing of her “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy” talking point of the 1990’s –… Keep Reading

Farage And Trump Show The Liberty Movement How Its Done

Last night, an amazing political spectacle took place in Mississippi. At an official campaign stop in Jackson, Donald Trump invited the notorious former UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage to talk about the historic Brexit vote, of which he was instrumental in orchestrating over in Jolly Ol’ England. The video coverage is powerful, and the speech was inspiring and optimistic. Here is Farage in his own words: Farage is a leader who really understands how to frame the issues. He has established his forces as the populist rabble, the ordinary folks taking back their sovereignty against a totalitarian bureaucracy that… Keep Reading

Was Rand Paul Cucked By Rachel Maddow Back In 2010?

As liberty conservatives pick up the pieces from Rand Paul’s failed presidential campaign, it is important to consider the psychology behind his disappointing showing. What was really going on in Rand’s head as it all fell to pieces? While examining Rand’s meteoric rise to senatorial power, one occurrence stands out as being particularly impactful: the infamous hit-piece conducted by Rachel Maddow on Rand back in 2010. Although it did not make any short-term negative impact, that exchange may have changed the trajectory of Rand’s entire political career. By becoming too focused on the mainstream media and their narratives, Rand lost… Keep Reading

Libertarians And The Christian Right: An Alliance Of Necessity

“Most libertarians think of Christian conservatives in the same lurid terms as the leftist media, if not more so: that their aim is to impose a Christian theocracy; to outlaw liquor and other means of hedonic enjoyment, and to break down bedroom doors to enforce a Morality Police upon the country: Nothing could be further from the truth: Christian conservatives are trying to fight back against a left-liberal elite that used government to assault and virtually destroy Christian values, principles, and culture.” – Dr. Murray N. Rothbard, The Religious Right: Toward a Coalition, Feb. 1993 During this time of political… Keep Reading

Lessons Learned: What The Liberty Minded Can Take Away From Trump’s Triumph

I have noticed a troubling trend amongst liberty conservatives that is growing lately. Instead of forging alliances with the anti-establishment Republican grassroots, they are pouting, whining, doing the bidding of the Bill Kristol’s of the world, abandoning ship, taking their ball and going home. They are proving all the worst stereotypes about the liberty minded: that we are marginal, petty, flaky, unreliable, melodramatic and undeserving to enjoy the blessings of freedom. Although events in the last year have killed morale and bruised many of our egos, there is a silver lining. The Trump phenomenon has harmed our enemies more than… Keep Reading

How Liberty Supporters Can Capitalize On The Trump Phenomenon

This was supposed to be our big year, but it all went awry. Liberty conservatives had two strong horses in the race: Rand Paul and Ted Cruz. It was more conceivable than ever before that one of those men could win the GOP nomination for President, but they were upstaged by a reality TV blowhard instead. Every liberty-minded conservative should be asking themselves the following simple question: How did we allow this to happen? Arrogance and haughtiness is not going to make the situation any better. Brushing it off and making rationalizations will only ensure that more crushing defeats are… Keep Reading

Toward Libertarian Unity: How To Bridge The Gap Between Anarchism And Constitutionalism

A robust discussion last week between Jeff Deist, President of the Mises Institute, and Michael Boldin, Executive Director of the Tenth Amendment Center, showed how libertarians of different stripes can come together while reaching out to the broader public by sticking to the issues that matter. Boldin appeared on the Mises Institute’s Audio/Video Podcast for a spirited discussion about libertarian strategy. This is an essential topic that has been glossed over for far too long, to the detriment of the movement as a whole. While Deist, a staunch anarchist, and Boldin, a political reformer, may seem to be at odds,… Keep Reading

What Rand Paul Can Learn From Nigel Farage

It has been a fun time for proponents of independence and decentralization throughout the world. Most liberty conservatives that I’ve seen are struggling not to overdose on liberal tears in the wake of the historic Brexit vote. The great Nigel Farage, the iconoclastic Ron Paul-inspired leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP), has quite the feather in his cap after being one of the primary orchestrators of this huge political blow against the European Union. Sadly, it doesn’t seem like we have anything to be nearly as excited over in jolly old America. Liberty conservatives have had their hopes… Keep Reading

Murray N. Rothbard: The Tupac Shakur Of Economists

Although he passed away over two decades ago, death hasn’t stopped the iconic libertarian economist Murray N. Rothbard from releasing new material. According to Rothbard’s long-time confidant and biographer Justin Raimondo of Antiwar.com, a group of “lost columns” are going to be released to the public that Rothbard supposedly penned in the 1960’s alongside a new book about how libertarians should approach the crucial question of strategy. They will be edited by Raimondo himself and released through the Mises Institute. This isn’t the first time that Rothbard has conquered death to deliver the message of hardcore liberty to the masses.… Keep Reading

The Libertarian Party Goes Gestapo, Supports Mass Surveillance And Federal Snitching

The worst Libertarian Party Presidential ticket in history is at it again. This time, infamous globalist gun-grabber and LP Vice Presidential candidate Bill Weld is doubling-down on mass surveillance and the federal police state to supposedly solve the problems of mass shootings and radical Islam. A Jun. 13 Washington Post article elaborates on Weld’s decisively anti-libertarian sentiments: Bill Weld, the former governor of Massachusetts now running as the Libertarian Party’s candidate for vice president, called today for a 1,000-agent task force to combat Islamic State adherents in the United States, and for a tip line where Muslims could inform on… Keep Reading

From Irrelevance To Infamy: How The Libertarian Party Sold Its Soul For The GOP’s Leftovers

It is sad to see how despair can war an individual’s mind, and in spite of professing to be logical and rational, libertarians are not immune to this effect. In the aftermath of the Libertarian Party National Convention, we are seeing the tragic consequences of desperation manifest themselves throughout the greater liberty movement. The libertarian brand is now being besmirched and tarnished on a grand scale like never before because the Libertarian Party happily rolled out the red carpet for infiltrators to take over. Two lackluster, left-leaning Republican governors who were unable to maintain relevance in their own party are… Keep Reading

The Voluntary Gold Standard: Realizing Sound Money Through Decentralization

Because of the enduring legacy of Ron Paul, most liberty-minded individuals understand the importance of sound money in relation to freedom. It is now a well-understood fact that a government stripped of its power to print money is necessarily a limited one. That is why the cause of liberty and the gold standard go hand-in-hand. The conundrum that we as liberty conservatives face right now is understanding how to reach our noble mission in a prudent manner. We know where we need to go, but we just haven’t quite figured out how to get there. Looking at our dismal monetary… Keep Reading

Republican Liberty Caucus Vice Chair Betrays His Own Cause, Pushes Gun-Grabbing Warmonger

It was a very humiliating spectacle this past weekend at the Libertarian Party National Convention in Orlando, FL. And I’m not referring to the now infamous streaker who gained national headlines. Sadly, the shame brought on by the nude anarchist paled in comparison to the wretched ticket that Libertarian Party members had the audacity to put up for the Presidency. In fact, it could be argued that the slovenly naked man was acting valiantly as a whistleblower effectively exposing the party to the world as a colossal disgrace with his lascivious antics. What was really so disgraceful is the Libertarian Party, for… Keep Reading
