Hillary Clinton’s unfavorability ratings are on the rise

A lot has been made this election cycle about how bad Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump is. He has endorsed questionable policy points, said a lot of mean and offensive things, and otherwise brings discomfort to a political arena that is normally safe, content, and boring. Alarmism among political pundits and the mainstream media is endless, talking about the tyranny of Trump as if we’ve never before had a President that didn’t love executive power.

But what about Hillary Clinton? The American people finally seem to be waking up to how bad she is.

It’s been an endless string of scandals for the former Secretary of State, ranging from the ongoing e-mail controversy to the Clinton Foundation. Mishandling classified information, withholding e-mails and deleting others, and even covering up Benghazi communication, have all been issues for Clinton.

Scandals aside, her general personality and politics seem to be contributing to new unfavorability trends, as well.

Breaking down a new poll, Clinton has jumped six points up to 56% in new unfavorability ratings for all adults. While Trump still ranks higher at 63%, this reflects a growing disliking of the Democratic Nominee. Among registered voters, the gap is even closer, with Trump higher by only one point.

The ongoing narrative that Clinton is a stable and trustworthy leader is now clearly under assault as the American people realize that even though Trump may not be a solid option, Clinton is by no means better.

The post-convention jump in favorability ratings has been erased as well. In July, Hillary was at 42% then jumped to 48% following the convention. Now not only has that jump been erased, but she’s also now fallen back below July’s numbers in at 41%.

Even Colin Kaepernick, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback who recently caused an uproar over the National Anthem, said Hillary Clinton should be in jail. When liberal superheroes start pointing these things out, there is a problem.

Numbers among moderates, women, and postgraduates have flipped, with Hillary dropping from favorable to unfavorable among the groups in just a month. Her favorability numbers among liberals, Hispanics, and Independents, are falling as well.

All of this is happening while the controversial Republican Nominee is holding steady, although remaining largely unpopular as well.

Is America finally waking up to the threat Hillary Clinton poses? Both she and Trump are some of the most unpopular candidates in decades, leading to a rise of third party candidates. Libertarian Candidate Gary Johnson is close to polling high enough to make the debate stage, and Green Party Candidate Jill Stein is getting polled as well. Even longshot conservative Independent Candidate Evan McMullin is getting polled and receiving attention.

Many have long indicated that Donald Trump has issues, but some moderate Republicans and others have opted for Clinton because she is the lesser of two evils. Americans seem to be recognizing that this is no longer the case, realizing that no matter how bad Trump is, Clinton is not an option.

Hillary Clinton’s popularity is collapsing.
