On Saturday, hundreds of thousands of protesters took to the streets of Washington D.C. to express their disdain for the live incarnation of sexism, President Donald J. Trump himself, and the misogynist patriarchy during the Women’s March on Washington. Throughout the 2016 election cycle, massive and unprecedented rioting and protesting has taken place at Trump rallies, after election night, and again during and after the inauguration. What brings the left out in force to riot? And why weren’t Republicans doing the same thing to President Obama, Bernie Sanders, and Hillary Clinton?
Rioting became out of control during several Trump rallies this past year, the most notable being the March 11th, 2016 rally at The University of Illinois in Chicago. Trump was forced to cancel the event after agitators violently clashed with Trump supporters inside and outside the venue.
I attended another Trump event days later. Astroturfed protesters showed up in force carrying Mexican, and ironically, Soviet flags. As I said at the time, they were the worst behaved people I had ever encountered. They shouted, “F*** the police,” and “Black lives matter,”—to which the Trump backers responded, “All lives matter.” They accosted police officers, especially those of color. Things got so out of control that the mounted patrol was brought in and pepper spray was deployed. Inside the venue, they constantly disrupted the event. Several protesters ended up being arrested and, you guessed it, they were from out-of-state.
Compared to the last major conservative protest movement, the Tea Party, these people were horrible. During the Tea Party protests, participants were respectful, peaceful, and even picked up their own trash. These folks destroyed neighborhoods, looted businesses, and violently assaulted Trump supporters.
One of those supporters was Liberty Conservative Associate Editor James Allsup. On the eve of President Trump’s Inauguration, Allsup was waiting to attend the Deploraball at The National Press Club in D.C. when he was assaulted by a rioter. He was targeted for wearing his iconic ‘Make America Great Again’ hat. Suffering blunt force trauma to the head courtesy of a protester’s flagpole (presumably with a Soviet flag attached), Allsup lost consciousness as blood gushed from his head.
So, why have these anti-Trump protesters been showing up in force? Perhaps it’s because they were being paid by George Soros, but more likely, it’s because they were being paid either not at all or by Uncle Sam. That’s right, I’m positing that these protesters don’t work.
According to a 2009 Rasmussen Reports survey, Democrats are over 50% more likely to be unemployed than Republicans. The unemployment rate for Democrats was found to be 15%. 9.9% was found for Republicans. In addition, according to a 2015 analysis from Independent Journal Review, four of the five states with the highest unemployment were Democrat. Out of the five states with the lowest unemployment, all but one were strongly Republican.
Perhaps being unemployed makes people liberals. After all, it stands to reason that those without a job would be more likely to vote in an expansive government to take care of them. But, equally likely, is the prospect that being a leftist makes people unemployed. So, perhaps this explains why Trump and Cruz rallies in my area generally took place on weekends or in the evening while the Bernie rally took place at 11:00 in the morning on a Tuesday.
You’re a moron
