Media Silent While Millions March For Life

/

Media bias is on full display as huge crowds of pro-lifers gather in Washington D.C. for the March for Life against abortion, which has been receiving, unsurprisingly, little to no media coverage.

On Friday, during the 44th annual March For Life, pro-life activists filled the national mall in Washington D.C. to March in solidarity with the unborn victims of abortion. Taking place on the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision creating the ‘right’ to an abortion, the March for Life is the largest annual demonstration in Washington.

However, although the hundreds of thousands of marchers in D.C. are joined every year by millions more at state capitals across the nation, the march has received very little recognition from the press throughout its history. President Donald Trump has even weighed in during an ABC news interview Wednesday night, saying:

“You’re going to have a lot of people coming on Friday. You will have a very large crowd of people. I don’t know as large or larger. Pro-life people and they say the press doesn’t cover them. … No, you should — But let me just tell you. What you do say is that the press doesn’t cover them.”

The interviewer, David Muir, was left stuttering and apologizing.

The March for Life is estimated to have drawn many more participants worldwide than last week’s Women’s March, which received tremendous media coverage. In addition, the March for Life will be a peaceful demonstration without the obscene signs and “pussyhats” that were ubiquitous at the Women’s March.

When the Media Research Center compared coverage between the 2017 Women’s March and the 2016 March for Life, ABC, NBC, and CBS covered the Women’s March a stunning 129 times more than the March for Life.

Data for the 2017 March for Life is not yet available, but from all accounts, the media hasn’t changed their ways.

This year’s march drew tremendous crowds and was addressed by Vice President Mike Pence and former Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway.

Had the media wanted to learn their lesson and become more objective, today would have been a good time to start. However, they continue to ignore what has become an annual Super Bowl for pro-life activists although this year’s March for Life is likely bigger than ever.

This is the plainest example of media bias in the United States — and it happens every year. So, forget about the crowd size at the inauguration. Forget about the false reporting that the bust of Martin Luther King Jr. in the Oval Office had been removed. Forget about CNN fake news reports.

Flip on the nightly news tonight. Do yourself a favor and switch the channel over from Fox News to CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC or NBC. Will they mention the March for Life? Maybe. Will they discuss it in the same depth as the Women’s March? Nope. Will anchors throw their support behind it like the Women’s March? Hell no!

If you’re looking for media bias, look no further than tomorrow’s news cycle.

  1. I’m sure they will try to find some devious act like a pro-lifer parking in a handicap spot illegally and turned into a huge news story about how they are against handicapped people.

  2. The saddest part about posting this poem again is that I had to change “The fifty million lives we lost”, when I first wrote this to “The sixty million lives we lost”. God forgive us.

    Life
    By Daniel George

    Put all your arguments aside
Ignore your reasons and your pride
You’ll find one truth you can’t deny
One fact for which there’s no reply.

An acorn is an oak no less
We do not need to try and guess
For life is there when two are one
No matter how the lie is spun.

Sea turtle eggs we fight to save
The fines and penalties are grave
But try to speak for unborn life
And you’ll ignite the most vile strife.

    They promised legal equals rare
And in their sin we all must share
They still demand that we all pay
Our faith and conscience have no say.

For forty years some found a law
And while so many chant hurrah
The sixty million lives we lost
Our souls will never know the cost.

    They label pregnancy disease
    Planned-parenthood’s “cure” is a breeze
    Won’t bother you with ultrasounds
For them there’s nothing out of bounds.

    The lie gets bigger everyday
They’re fighting cancer so they say
Follow the money trail, you’ll see
Your baby’s parts all have a fee.

So many lives without a chance
Just wait, until you feel her dance
You may have wished she was a boy
But you’ll forget through tears of joy.

I know not one true mother’s heart
Who brought forth life and played her part.
To hold regret instead of peace
Because a heart she did not cease.
