Before the Soviet Union imploded in 1989, liberals denounced conservatives as anti-Russian paranoids and supporters of emergency measures, even martial law.
But that was then. Since the election of Donald Trump, liberals, especially of the Left Coast Hollywood variety, have peddled anti-Russian conspiracy theories involving Vladimir Putin supposedly getting Trump elected, and because of this foreign “assistance,” have asserted that Trump is an “illegitimate” president.
Democrats have cheered the FBI’s current investigation of possible Russian interference in the presidential election.
But for liberal celebrities that is not enough. Even before Trump was sworn in, liberal loudmouth Rosie O’Donnell demanded that “martial law” be imposed until Trump was cleared of all charges.
Now, leftist filmmaker Michael Moore, so frequently frustrated with government not working, has demanded that it be ground to a halt.
On his Instagram account on Wednesday, Moore demanded that Democratic lawmakers not work with Trump until the president is cleared of all “espionage” charges:
“The Democratic Party needs to declare a National Emergency. For the first time in our history, the President of the United States and his staff are under investigation for espionage. This announcement, by the head of the Trump-friendly FBI, is a shock to our democracy. The Democratic leadership in the House and Senate needs to bring a halt to all business being done in the name of this potential felony suspect, Donald J. Trump. No bill he supports, no Supreme Court nominee he has named, can be decided while he is under a criminal investigation. His presidency has no legitimacy until the FBI – and an independent investigative committee — discovers the truth. Fellow citizens, demand the Democrats cease all business.”
How quickly things change. Liberals like Moore are using the very same tactics they once accused their hated Republicans of engaging in.
These were in response from a nuclear attack. Still it is Democrat voters that depend on the state. I guess his thinking is the government does nothing and people start to starve and then start revolution. The thing is if you look to the French Revolution it was the liberals and elites that were taken to the Gill Oteen…
