The Liberty Conservative has announced that it is endorsing Judge Roy Moore in the special election for U.S. Senate in Alabama. Moore is set to face establishment stalwart Sen. Luther Strange in Tuesday’s primary runoff.
Roy Moore’s record shows that he is a man of principle, and a proven defender of constitutionally limited government and states’ rights. If elected, Moore has pledged to stand up to Mitch McConnell, and to stand with Senate conservatives such as Rand Paul and Mike Lee. By contrast, Strange, a former Washington lobbyist, is being propped up to the tune of $8 million by McConnell-linked PACs. McConnell and his cronies in the Senate leadership are genuinely terrified by the prospect of a Moore victory, fearing it will serve as a catalyst for further anti-establishment upsets in the months to come. It is very clear at this point that Moore is the only choice for libertarians and small government conservatives who want a Senator that is willing to take on to the special interests.
Although polls have indicated a more competitive general election race than usual, this is still typically regarded as a safe Senate seat for Republicans. As a result, the real contest will be in Tuesday’s runoff, when the people of Alabama will be able to choose whether they truly want to drain the swamp, or continue with business as usual. Most polling so far shows Moore with a strong lead, although private polling reportedly suggests the race is somewhat closer.
The Liberty Conservative’s endorsement follows that of numerous other prominent figures within the libertarian and conservative movements, such as Rep. Thomas Massie, Sec. Ben Carson, Gov. Sarah Palin, Sen. Jim DeMint, Rep. Jim Jordan, Rep. Mark Meadows, Rep. Mo Brooks, Laura Ingraham, Roger Stone, and Ken Cuccinelli. In addition, he has also received the strong support of grassroots second amendment groups such as the National Association for Gun Rights and the Gun Owners of America.
Tell us why.
Liberty and Roy have nothing in common.
Give a few examples of his experience with applying liberty for the people.
He practically my neighbor.
GOP of etowah Co. ….only candidates in the next election support him.
Did you watch the debate ? And still choose Moore?
He is a fire and brimstone preacher…fired twice…for defying the supreme Court on religious issues.
I did not realize the liberty conservative was a religious extremist that wanted Christian rule of law.
Tell us why….do you even liberty ,bro ?
He’s a conservative, and he’s principled. There is no libertarian in the race.
Term limits ?
What’s the difff ?
He was too old by law to run for any other office.
Is 50 years enough… Especially when Alabama is still poor and behind.
You do know you can just NOT endorse in a race, right?
Too many people claim they will do the right thing until it costs them something personally. Judge Roy Moore for U.S. Senate has proven he is a man of strong convictions who will not buckle. And that’s why Mitch McConnell is scared to death of him. Send a clear message to the establishment. Let’s send Roy Moore to D.C.
