The Market Has Spoken: Anti-Trump Hatemonger Chelsea Handler Axed By Netflix

After two seasons, alleged comedian Chelsea Handler is losing her Netflix talk show. Coming from cable television considered an up-and-coming personality, Handler descended into a desperate and pathetic Trump critic – alienating many of her followers and removing any comedic value from her material.

Handler isn’t stopping her hate-filled campaign against Trump though. She is doubling-down and saying that her activist persona is now priority number one after getting canned.

“I’ve decided not to return for another season of Chelsea, and instead devote as much time as I can to becoming a more knowledgeable and engaged citizen and to focus on projects that have significance to me,” Handler wrote in a press release on Twitter, ignoring the fact that her show was canceled and she did not choose to leave.

From there, Handler put the nauseating sanctimoniousness into overdrive.

“I want to travel the country and visit areas and people I don’t know enough about, speak at colleges and listen to students, and gain a better understanding of our political divide. I have joined forces with EMILY’s List to elect more women to public office, register people to vote, and campaign for candidates who are fighting for women’s rights,” Handler said.

Handler’s program was mired in chaos from the start. The Hollywood Reporter states that the show began airing three nights per week at a run-time of 20-40 minutes, and was plagued with terrible reviews. After the showrunner abandoned the program only three weeks into the series run, it was changed into a weekly travel series, which failed to gain any sort of a following.

It is worth noting that Netflix carries an incredible amount of content, and does not particularly care about ratings. For Handler’s show to be canceled, it had to be that special type of horrible that could not even be ignored by Netflix executives who are typically amenable to leftist-friendly content.

However, Handler will not be completely removed from the network. Netflix will produce a documentary about her political journey in the age of Trump, and will continue to stream episodes of Chelsea until the end of the year.

“I’m excited to share that I will continue my partnership with Netflix, working together on a documentary where I’ll engage with people I don’t talk with enough – people of different ethnicities, religions and political philosophies,” Handler said. “Netflix could not be more understanding, and I’m grateful for their continued support. New episodes of Chelsea will continue to stream weekly until the end of this year.”

In her upcoming documentary, Handler will be sure to continue whining and playing the victim some more as she continues her downward spiral toward complete and utter irrelevance.
