Rand Paul Issues List Of Demands On Graham-Cassidy Health Care Bill

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has issued a list of demands to the White House in order to obtain his vote on the Graham-Cassidy health care reform bill, according to a Sunday report by Axios. The administration believes Paul represents the best hope for passing the bill, with Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) seen as less likely to come over. In particular, they are banking on the warm relationship between President Donald Trump and Sen. Paul, a frequent defender of the administration during his televised appearances. Rand Paul Willing To Negotiate On Graham-Cassidy If Block Grants Halved

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has laid out his precondition for negotiation on the Graham-Cassidy health care reform bill in a Sunday interview with the Washington Post. The Senator has declared he will consider backing the bill if the block grants given to the states by it were substantially lowered. “Would I talk to them if they said they wanted to make the block grants half as much? I might,” Paul said. “Nobody has really offered me that, to say, ‘Well, we could spend less’.
