Attorney General Jeff Sessions Rejects The Founding Fathers On States’ Rights

Referencing immigration, Attorney General Jeff Sessions came out strongly against the idea of states’ rights. He inferred that the states have no recourse but to submit to federal law. “There is no nullification. There is no secession. Federal law is “the supreme law of the land.” I would invite any doubters to Gettysburg, and to the graves of John C. Calhoun and Abraham Lincoln,” Jeff Sessions said during a recent gathering with the California Peace Officers’ Association. However, Sessions’ words are at sharp odds with the Founding Fathers themselves, who created the United States of America in an attempt to… Keep Reading

Why California Has The Nation’s Worst Poverty Rate

Earlier this week, the LA Times reminded its readers that California has the highest poverty rate in the nation.  Specifically, when using the Census Bureau’s most recent” Supplemental Poverty Measure” (SPM), California clocks in with a poverty rate of 20 percent, which places it as worst in the nation. To be sure, California is running quite closely with Florida and Louisiana, but we can certainly say that California is a top contender when it comes to poverty. Keep Reading

Court Dismisses Antifa Attempt To Place Restraining Order On Liberty Conservative Contributor

A California court dismissed an attempt by Antifa leader Yvette Felarca to place a restraining order on Liberty Conservative contributor Troy Worden on Thursday. Felarca had attempted to use the restraining order to constrain the free speech of Worden, the chair of the Berkeley College Republicans, on his own college campus. Under the rules of the restraining order, Felarca, who is not a student at UC Berkeley, visited campus, Worden would be required to maintain a considerable distance from her. “While we have beaten Yvette Felarca in round one, this is not over,” said Mark Meuser, Worden’s attorney. “We have gathered enough… Keep Reading

Are The PC Police Now Coming For Halloween?

It’s almost impossible to not offend someone at any given time in modern America. People have become overly sensitive and the rise of political correctness is even targeting holidays. Christmas is being watered down and actively purged from society. Christmas trees are being renamed holiday trees, despite the tree festivity being clearly associated with Christmas. “Merry Christmas” greetings are morphing into “Happy Holidays,” out of fear someone may be offended by a positive greeting that refers to a specific holiday. Now it appears as though Halloween may be the next target for the PC police in our society. Halloween is… Keep Reading

Antifa Leader Files Frivolous Restraining Order Against Liberty Conservative Contributor

Yvette Felarca, the leader of the Northern California wing of By Any Means Necessary (BAMN), filed a frivolous restraining order against Troy Worden, an opinion contributor at The Liberty Conservative, falsely accusing Worden of engaging in harassment. Initially, the court approved the order, as Felarca had four fellow BAMN organizers testify as witnesses, despite the fact that some of those organizers were not even present during the alleged interaction between Worden and Felarca. Worden’s attorney, Mark Meuser, who is also The Liberty Conservative‘s Washington Correspondent, described the situation. “Based upon her testimony, the court entered a temporary restraining order that prohibited Worden… Keep Reading

The Conservative Case For Calexit

Should California Secede? That was the title of Michael Hiltzik’s November 29th article for the Los Angeles Times, and it is certainly a good question. Liberal left-coasters seem to be the most enthusiastic members of the “Calexit” lobby while many on the Right, including Jim Geraghty of the National Review, are downright dismissive if not wholly intolerant of the idea. We on the Right are an intellectually superior lot to our counterparts on the Left, and as such, we cannot afford to be as close-minded as they are. Let’s examine the idea of Calexit and see if it is something… Keep Reading
