Libertarians Set To Win Knesset Seats In Israeli Elections

Israel’s libertarian party, Zehut, is set to pass the electoral threshold to win Knesset seats in next month’s Israeli elections, according to three consecutive national polls. Polls conducted by Haaretz/Dialog Institute, Israel Hayom/i24 News and Israeli public broadcaster Kan all show Zehut winning 4 seats in the upcoming elections. While this is a small number, it marks strong result for a new political party, and in an election as close as this one, Zehut could well hold the balance of power between the right-wing nationalist and the center-left liberal camps. Trump Signs Major Criminal Justice Reform Bill, Wins Praise From Black Leaders

President Donald Trump has signed the groundbreaking FIRST STEP Act into law, and the black community is elated. At the signing ceremony, former Obama aide Van Jones hailed Trump’s success and praised the movement for freedom behind Trump. “The freedom of the people who are trapped in a broken system, the freedom of people who are trapped in addiction, the freedom of people who are trapped in poverty, those are the people that your opportunity zones are targeted at, your opioid policies are targeted at, and your criminal justice policy is targeted at,” Jones declared. “And when you’re trying to… Keep Reading

Tancredo previously ran for Governor in 2010 as the Constitution Party candidate, coming in second place, with 36.4% of the vote. This Soros-Backed Operative Is The ‘Harvey Weinstein’ Of The Marijuana Industry

With Hollywood being exposed publicly as a den of liberal sin and inequity, this begs the question: What other industries dominated by liberals have secret underbellies they are hiding? It is no secret that the marijuana movement has been bankrolled by George Soros for decades, with one operative on his payroll having a past similar to disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. Rob Kampia serves as the co-founder and executive director of the Marijuana Policy Project, an organization that works to end drug prohibition nationally. The MPP, funded by Soros, backs marijuana legalization initiatives throughout the country, usually in the form… Keep Reading

Attorney General Jeff Sessions Doesn’t Believe In The Tenth Amendment

Federal government officials who believe in the Constitution and limited government are generally a rarity. In modern American politics, the federal level is expected to do most things in society. Lower level governments from state to municipal are merely administrative extensions to the will of the top. It’s the type of structure that is contrary to the vision laid out by our founders, and the natural downfall of any republic. In recent decades, this has accelerated. In the post-9/11 America, former President George W. Bush used the tragic terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001 to massively grow the federal government.… Keep Reading

What If Hillary Clinton And Lois Lerner Smoked Pot?

The slogan was “drain the swamp.” The movement was to remove career politicians and change the face of politics forever. Washington D.C. is a place where politicians go to be exempt from legal and social standards that most regular citizens have to deal with. These people are celebrities who rarely lose elections and almost never face consequences. When candidate Donald Trump became President-Elect Donald Trump, a new day was coming. When President-Elect Donald Trump officially became President of the United States, a new day was supposed to have arrived. At least, that is what the hype machine told us would occur.… Keep Reading

As Hillary Remains Free, Attorney General Jeff Sessions Focuses On Failed Drug War

When Donald Trump was campaigning for President last year, thousands of Americans chanted “LOCK HER UP!” throughout the country referring to his opponent, Hillary Clinton. Once elected, Trump supporters expected Attorney General Jeff Sessions to follow the campaign’s mandate and proceed to investigate Clinton for her e-mails, Libyan war crimes, and other atrocities she has committed over the years. Instead of fulfilling the Trump mandate, Sessions has gone rogue. He is pursuing his decades-long fetish of marijuana prohibition and working feverishly with the intent of doubling-down on possibly the most destructive policy in modern American history: the federal drug war.… Keep Reading

Kushner Emerges As Powerful Criminal Justice Reform Advocate In White House

There are a number of incongruent ideologies jockeying for influence within the Trump White House. Trump’s son in law, Jared Kushner has emerged as one of the most powerful early on. Despite receiving a great deal of flak from conservatives and libertarians for his supposedly progressive outlook, there may be an issue where his influence on the White House can be appreciated: criminal justice reform. According to a New York Times report, Kushner is pushing for criminal justice reform on issues such as ending mandatory minimums. However, he is faced with resistance from Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a long-time drug warrior… Keep Reading

The Cannabis Market Is Still Very Much Open For Business Under President Trump

When former Sen. Jeff Sessions was announced as Trump’s pick for Attorney General, many leftists and even some libertarians cried foul. This would be the end of marijuana legalization, they claimed! Others claimed that he was the big bad racist boogeyman who loved the Klan. The histrionics were almost unbearable. Nevertheless, their whining and their crying did woefully little to stop the confirmation of Sessions. After he was confirmed, news reports have circulated indicating that the Attorney General under Trump will be focused on taking out serious drug cartels while leaving the recreational marijuana industry relatively unscathed. The U.S. News… Keep Reading

Taxation, Regulation: Not Reasons To Legalize Pot

In the marijuana legalization debate, two talking points are often utilized: taxation and regulation. These are good arguments from a liberal perspective, but quite problematic in a conservative or libertarian context. The basis for justifying the legalization of marijuana is simple. Consenting adults should be allowed to choose what to put in their bodies, whether or not it’s harmful, so long as there are no externalities. This is the only legitimate and principled basis for legalization. Keep Reading

Cruz To Liberty Movement: No Softballs

Nearly two weeks ago, just prior to his appearance at Steve King’s Iowa Freedom Summit, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz carved out some time to meet with leading liberty activists from around Iowa. The low-key meeting, held in Des Moines, was many activists’ first time to meet the libertarian-leaning Tea Party firebrand. It was also Cruz’s first time fielding questions from a crowd comprised almost exclusively of members of the thriving Iowa Liberty Movement. Cruz opened with high praise for former Rep. Ron Paul’s rapidly-maturing political army. “The power, the energy of the Liberty Movement is inspirational,” said Cruz. “I think… Keep Reading
