Rand Paul: Healthcare Public Option Is A “Lie”

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) called out the so-called “public option” advocated by presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden during a Sunday appearance on the Trump campaign’s War Room Weekly show. “It’s like most other lies that we hear: if you like your plan, you can keep it, was the original promise – but now this promise is if you like your plan you can keep it or you can get the government plan, it’s really not going to cost anything, I promise you, it won’t cost anything,” Paul told host Tim Murtaugh, the campaign communications director. “But it’s just not true.… Keep Reading

America Lies To Its Veterans

As a retired military veteran, it has hurt me and countless others to see what this government has done to veterans in the area of healthcare. Those that are disabled and need to go to the VA are brushed off, forced to wait up to six months for care, or totally ignored all together. Under President Trump it has gotten better, but is still not of the class it should be. The four men released a joint statement on Thursday saying, “Currently, for a variety of reasons, we are not ready to vote for this bill, but we are open to negotiation and obtaining more information before it is brought to… Keep Reading

U.S. Nuclear Force to Phase Out Floppy Disks by 2017 Despite $80 Billion on Federal Upgrades

If you asked most children what a floppy disk is, they wouldn’t have the slightest clue. While most computers today do not even use one – a sign of progress – a recent report states that the U.S. Pentagon is still using 8-inch floppy disks from the 1970s to operate its nuclear weapons. This should be a disturbing revelation on many counts. Seemingly undeterred by the lucrative spending allocated towards the military budget, (about $598.5 billion just in 2015) the Office of Management and Budget noted $80 billion of it was to be allocated towards maintaining aging computer systems. Yet, the Government of Accountability Office showed that the Pentagon was one of… Keep Reading
