President Trump illicited boos from Democrats when discussing his proposal to limit immigration during Tuesday evening’s State of the Union.
“The fourth and final pillar protects the nuclear family by ending chain migration — under the current broken system, a single immigrant can bring in virtually unlimited numbers of distant relatives,” Trump claimed.
“Under our plan, we focus on the immediate family by limiting sponsor-ships to spouses and minor children.”
Rep. Judy Chu (D-California), chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, made a thumbs-down signal as Trump outlined his immigration demands.
Trump pointed to the latest terror attacks in New York City as proof for his claim that immigrants might be harmful to our security and well being.
One of those terrorists got here on through the ridiculed diversity visa lottery program.
The second attack in New York was a failed attempt that thankfully left no civilians injured.
