October Surprise Over Syria’s Skies?

You may not have read about this in the mainstream news, but The Wall Street Journal  reported that there was a Russian air strike in June on a CIA-linked base which was a part of a campaign by Russia to pressure Obama to agree to closer cooperation over the Syrian skies, according to U.S. military and intelligence officials.   Four rebels were killed in that attack near the Jordanian border in the attempt to coax Obama to the negotiating table.  Possibly the Russians were upset that the US would not share any intelligence with them, so they may have sent a message with the “accidental” strike of how dangerous that policy was.  Eventually, the Russian strategy worked and both sides had agreed to more cooperation in September between their militaries.  Then in September,  in a tit for tat attack and an attempt to escalate the conflict in which Obama’s Al Qaeda/Saudi Arabia affiliated allies have been losing badly to the Russians and their allies, the Obama administration deliberately struck the known Syrian Army post in Deir el Zour.  

What we have come to  know, according to recent US intelligence documents released to the non-partisan corruption monitoring group Judicial Watch, confirms suspicions that the Obama regime and some of its coalition partners had facilitated the rise of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, which later became ISIS.  The goal was to create an effective adversary against the Syrian government of President Assad.  These documents also disclosed that ISIS members were initially trained in Jordan by members and hired contractors of the Central Intelligence Agency run by Saudi friendly John Brennan.  These documents were acquired from the DOD and Hillary Clinton’s badly run State Department through a Federal lawsuit.  Wikileaks also claims that Hillary’s emails indict her involvement in arming ISIS via Libya. 

Most political observers who have been monitoring U.S./Russian relations have noticed a number of U.S./NATO provocations over the years and Russian responses to those aggressive acts.  These actions have involved political vilification with false accusations, economic sanctions and the rejecting of diplomacy and dialogue, as well as the expansion of military forces, including the deployment of missile systems targeting Russia.  After seeing the mess that Nato and Obama/Clinton made of Libya, Russia decided to be the adult and get more involved in the Middle East problem.  Russia had been advocating for peaceful resolution of the Syrian conflict but was ignored until it began to react more forcefully and become a player in Syria.  Russia is no longer playing the role of silent observer in the global elites mishandling of the Middle East.  Now that Putin’s bold actions  have turned the tables on the terrorists, Obama and his Salafist allies are seeing their plans of spreading political chaos and religious Islamism collapse but they may have an even more dangerous game in mind in order to influence the outcome of the elections, the “October Surprise”.

Obama/Clinton have gone into overdrive to paint Putin as the bogeyman behind everything from the made up “Alt-Right” to DNC email hacks, orchestrating the Brexit and the most nefarious accusation, secretly supporting the campaign of Donald Trump.  What’s the next headline?  “Putin behind Creepy Clown Citings Across the US”?  My suspicion is that the demonization against Russia and attempted connection to Trump is an attempt to smear by association  the Trump campaign.  The Obama administration is trying feverishly to lure Russia into a direct war in Syria since they failed in getting them to directly engage in the Ukraine.  While Trump is currently leading in the polls, Hillary’s hard line anti-Russian stance would play well with voters should Obama get the Russians to engage our military over the skies of Syria.

Already we are hearing Generals calling for a no-fly zone in Syria which would mean war with Russia.  In a dramatic escalation between Russia and the US, John Kerry recently issued an ultimatum, warning his counterpart Lavrov to stop bombing Aleppo or else the US would stop all cooperation and diplomacy with Russia.  “We are on the verge of suspending the discussion because it is irrational in the context of the kind of bombing taking place to be sitting there trying to take things seriously,” Kerry told an audience in Washington.

“It is one of those moments where we are going to have to pursue other alternatives,” he added.

One of those alternatives according to a Reuters report is a military option.  Now that diplomacy is dead, the military option is the next step, possibly to include sending in US military on the ground in a dangerous escalation which would cause the Russians to take appropriate countermeasures in this ongoing proxy war.  We may be on the verge of what every president since Eisenhower has avoided, direct confrontation and war with a nuclear-armed Russia.  I pray that our elites are not that stupid and that the grown-ups in the State Department and DOD prevail for peace.
