Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) endured a confrontation by aggressive left-wing demonstrators earlier this week, when a mob showed up to harass the Kentucky Senator at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in D.C. over his decision to support the nomination of Brett Kavanuagh to the Supreme Court of the United States.
In a video released by the Center for Popular Democracy, the George Soros-backed organization behind many of the recent anti-Kavanaugh protests, Paul is shown being chased down by a group of protesters.
“Women deserve better than silence, Sen. Paul,” a protester said. “Was Clarence Thomas not enough? Now we have to add Brett Kavanaugh?”
The mob quickly devolved into bizarre, baseless, and hyperbolic accusations against Sen. Paul, with one even accusing him of endorsing sexual violence.
“Your behavior right now is exactly why women are not moving forward in this country,” one protester proclaimed.
“You’re complicit in sexual violence!” another shouted.
In an op-ed earlier this week, Sen. Paul’s wife, Kelley, claimed that Sen. Paul had been “besieged” by the leftists during the encounter.
The protesters were “preventing [Sen. Paul] from moving forward, thrusting [their] middle finger in [Sen. Paul’s] face, screaming vitriol”, Kelley Paul claimed.
This is far from the only aggressive confrontation of a Republican Senator by left-wing activists in recent days. The Center for Popular Democracy previously posted a video of their activists chasing Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) into a restroom, and another featuring Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) being pinned down in a Senate elevator.
