Trump Puts America First, Bans Transgender Individuals From Military Service

President Donald Trump has constantly shown that he will put American national security before political correctness. This is evident in his latest announcement that transgender individuals will be banned from military service, a stark departure from the military policy crafted by his predecessor.

“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow…transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military,” Trump announced this morning on his Twitter account.

“Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming…victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you”

This announcement effectively reverses a policy put into place by former President Barack Obama allowing transgender individuals to serve in the military. Obama’s so-called achievement was hailed by liberals as a step forward in the battle for LGBT civil rights, and liberals are reacting to Trump’s sudden announcement with predictable outrage.

Former Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett asked, “If military signed off when [former President Barack Obama] made policy to allow transgender to serve, what changed?”

Frequent Trump critic Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) wrote, “[The President’s] anti-trans pronouncement is ugly and wrong. Discrimination isn’t patriotic — allowing all who love this country to serve, is.”

“Transgender Americans are already bravely serving in the military. They are patriots and should be celebrated, not discriminated against,” Rep. Dan Kildee (D-MI) said.

“[The President’s] ban on transgender Americans in the military is bigoted, discriminatory, and just plain wrong,” Rep. Betty McCollum (DFL-MN) said.

Clearly, Trump is undeterred by the tears of his liberal opponents. He is expected to release further details on how he plans to enforce the banning of transgender individuals from the military in the days to come.

  1. It is called AR 670-1 it is a law and how the uniform is mandated to be worn if people refuse such a basic standard how can they be expected to follow any other of the many obligations you have in the military. Yes you give up many freedoms to serve and standards to embrace.

  2. Those who serve in any area of battle, do not need any mentality unstable person to stand with him. Trans-anything do not have that mental strength, if they didn’t know what sex they are.

  3. This is just a LC opinion piece but I wholeheartedly disagree. You want to fight for your country and protect the rights of your fellow citizens? Then sign up and FIGHT. This isn’t putting America first. GTFO!

  4. It’s really interesting seeing the cultural transition (pun intended) from banning gays in the military to now banning Trans in the military. There have been Transgender Men and Women who have served in this country, yes it’s very small but they’ve served. What I see is a lack of understanding from both sides, the Social Justice asswipes who almost mock this issue and people like this article.
What you’re asking is for in this “ban” is for TransMen who have served, transitioned, who look like MEN, to now wear the women’s pants suit and be put to shame. A lack of respect for our military is what I see. Afterall, we don’t give a shit about what they go through in war. Support our troops except for Transgender.
There’s an absolute difference between your Sex which you were born with and the cultural gender which you identify as. That’s it. End of story. No confusion. Liberation of this small minority should be on the Libertarian agenda. They haven’t affected any areas or caused any threat other than confused Social Justice assholes who have taken this issue and made it a joke, resulting in Trump and policies like this.

  5. I’m guessing that a lot of transexuals who want to serve in the military will simply hide who they really are for the duration of their enlistment. On the other hand, someone who wants to get out of deploying could say that they now identify as the opposite gender.
